„Memories Of A Dead Man“ is a story about a man, his past, the one who saved his life and an endless tragedy.
Sitting in jail, waiting for the death penality, the protagonist has only one place where he can seek for the truth: His Mind!
Who killed the light in his life? The allegations and judges are pointing the finger at him. Is this really the truth? Or has someone bent reality? Someone from his long gone past, but still so close?
You decide!
AeoS started to write „Memories Of A Dead Man“ back in 2008. It was the first song written by them and was released as „Memories Of A Dead Man - Part III“ on their first demo record in 2010.
Finally, after 8 years the band brought the story to an end and finished the three piece conceptional album. Influenced by movies like Memento, tragedys like Hamlet and progressive music from the last 3 decades as well as modern metal, AeoS brings this story to life and into your imagination.
lyrics
6. The Hunt
I know what they mean with the walk into eternity
7. Suburban Life
I know what they mean
When they’re talking to me
About the urban life
And the american dream
It was
Time to restart the life-engine
Of my corrupted body
Going to the limit with my crash-helmet
Cause the curtain of sins is off this shining pelmet
I'm now free
But how long will it take
After she met me
And my fundament will break
Take your time
‘Cause time is the thing
I have wasted all my life
Till I find
The light that shines so bright
Into the night of my painful survive
I don't care
About the past I was stressed
I now got a wife
And a baby in our life
So you can believe when I say
It's good to have responsibility
Break me a sin
Cut off my lips
But believe me I will never go back into my dark past
I'm walking around
Remember the time I don't sympathized
With this bloody life
Inside me when I was sleeping alive
Stay away
From their haunt, your lovely sequenze
Playing in their heads
I was so afraid for the day I am losing myself
First let me get in
You will understand
How his mind works
Believe in his old sins
Good night
My shining light
I will find
What's in my mind
First let me get in
When will I understand
How my mind will work
Believe in my old sins
Then let me get out
I have to understand
That my mind will break
Underneath those sins
8. The Dream (Instrumental)
9.Confrontation Inner Past
Waking up from that irritated dream
Feeling confused with that occupied stream in me
Finally in my mind
The moment arrived
The past I was through
Through my darkest delight
Looking around
Seeing my past
Still dreaming
Or just a blast
Of reflections
Of my past
When will this ever end
Breaking
Back in your life
To relive traumatic times
A storm is coming over me
Memories that lie in the past
Turning around trying to go back to sleep
Closing my eyes but I'm afraid to fall back Into this dream
Drowning the light
That gave him his life
To bring back the time
Where we were combined
Hearing a sound
Hearing a scream
Not in my head
Not in my dream
I open the door
To see the face of a faceless reality
Hello my Friend
Remember me
I am the one, you used to be
A storm is coming over me
Memories that lie in the past
10. The Visit Part II (Instrumental)
11. Memories Of A Dead Man
Now you could see through his blinded eyes
feeling the cold of his warm heart
Now you can understand his complex reality
Forced to be a man he never really wants to be
Choose yourself
To understand
What is wrong
And what is right
Sometimes you can't see the difference
There are too many gaps beside
Sometimes the fly gets trapped
By the carnivorous plant
Then you have to choose between
Live or let die
It's too late
Before we will start to see the lies
In his bloody life
Inside him while he was sleeping alive
Change the view
And understand these are
The memories of a dead man

WOW! One of these rousing progck-fusions of the young millenium created by unknown(?) uncanny skilled musicians. Here: Foremost Andy Didorenko, well trained violinist, also fine on (bass?-)guits & keys. OK, some "well-informed" speculations about musical genes: Mainly a less jazzy Mr Sirius' ’Dirge’ (esp. 'cause flute, ac.-guit & str.-sections), KC & D. Way's Wolf ’73/’74 and a little J. Tull ’77. OK, no voice to compete with Ian A., J. Wetton or Lisa Ohki. But a very fine & refreshing album! ROWIAL
i like the Rick Beato videos and he had shown the track electric sunrise in his video "How To Count Odd Meters". I was very impressed from this song and searched for the whole album and found it at bandcamp ;-) hpaydt
Experimental Heavy Prog Rock. There are a few parts of utter brilliance, especially 'Trivial Thing' with it's fade-out-fade-in sequence. Production quality is outstanding albeit the overly compressed master. HaMMiE
